In this tutorial for doll clothes I show you how to sew a dress with sleeves. The sleeves can also be easily shortened depending on the needs of your doll. Pay attention to the collar as well. To give even more room for customization, in the lesson I’ll show the technique of sewing bias piping cord (or bias binding cord) to the collar. This will add an additional value. So far, I have not come across another doll dress lesson in which this technique or material is shown or commented on. This dress is my favorite and I added it as a bonus to the eBook – How to Make a Doll. Often even just that dress is enough to get a beautiful doll. Pair it with a necklace or bag and you’re done.

Olive –
Just finished this dress, It went together really well, I did it with long sleeves this time but without the collar. This is a good basic pattern and I will be using it quite a lot, varying the decorations, adding lace etc.
Margot Garwood –
I had never made a dress before and this pattern was clear enough for me to create an acceptable first try. The instructions are all in easy to follow video.
